2014 marks our first christmas together that we have not celebrated in florida. this year has felt markedly different. since j had to work on christmas morning we opened our presents on christmas eve, and i spent the majority of the day lazing around, drinking cocoa, munching on toffee, watching holiday movies and prepping for tonight's dinner.
this is the first year i've boxed up and mailed our presents, and spending the day solo is a pretty huge departure from the big family holidays i'm used to. it's been a quiet christmas, something a bit foreign to us and we're looking forward to my mom's visit next week and rejoining our family (or at least a portion of it) for the holidays next year! hope everyone is spending today with the people they love.
