my family made their first collective trip up to the pnw to help us celebrate my very recent 30th birthday, and i believe the highlight of their trip was this afternoon sail courtesy of dreamboat adventure sailing!
we began the calm but gorgeous day with brunch at manor house, there were only a few others indulging along with us, which made for a wonderfully private dining experience. (as an aside, those bananas foster pancakes need to be shared - they're delicious but massive!) our waiter/bartender was also exceptionally apt, he took a lot of care when crafting our cocktails and wanted to ensure he nailed the level of spiciness perfectly.
we followed brunch with our afternoon sail on puget sound with our captain, harry. harry was awesome, simultaneously calm and supremely knowledgeable, he was able to fill us in on lots of little things to know about island life, as well as his boat oh joy ii, which unless i'm mistaken is named for his wife joy. we sincerely enjoyed talking to him during our sail, bonding over shared interests in the marketing profession and both being swim families. the sail itself gave us amazing 360 views of seattle, bainbridge island, and mount rainier from the water. (so much so that i had a very difficult time selecting photos to share - there wasn't a bad one in the bunch.)
i highly recommend both experiences if you have the chance, as they were the perfect way to show our family around our new(ish) home base.
